League of Women Voters announces Area Voter Registration Drives in September

Saturday registration offered at area libraries and Palatine Farmers’ Market

With less than 100 days before the November 2nd General Election, citizens may confirm that they are registered to vote by going to voterinfonet.com. 

Newly naturalized citizens over the age of eighteen, unregistered citizens who will be eighteen by November 2nd, and registered voters who have changed their name or address have opportunities to register at convenient locations on several Saturdays during the month of September.

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will be conducting several registration drives on three successive Saturdays:  Sept. 11, Sept. 18, and Sept. 25.

On Saturday, September 11th, League members will register voters from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Farmers’ Market located near the Palatine Train Station. 

On September 18th and 25th, the League will be registering voters at three area libraries from 10:00a.m. to1:00 p.m.

VOTER REGISTRATION

Who should register?

U. S. Citizens, 18 years of age by the next election day.

bullet

Residents of the precinct for 30 days prior to the election.

bullet

Applicant must provide two pieces of identification - one with his/her current address.

Where to vote?

Call your village or city hall to inquire about the location of polling places.

Polling places are open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.  Persons in line to vote at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
