About the Speaker: Allison Frederick is a conservation professional, science communicator, and nonprofit leader with deep experience in native landscaping, habitat restoration, and community education. She currently works with Citizens for Conservation, where she supports land protection and stewardship efforts across northeastern Illinois. With a background in wildlife management, volunteer engagement, and communications, Allison helps communities understand how native plants support biodiversity, clean water, and climate resilience—starting right in their own yards.
