Explore the evolutionary processes for the national convention for the major political parties in the US. There will be a historical examination of how national conventions influence voters’ behavior, nominating the candidate officially for the presidential election, and forming the party agenda. The lecture will also explain the political oligarchy and the activists for each party and how they influence the nomination procedures. Finally, there will be an explanation for the media's power in shaping the candidates' nominations and presenting them to voters.
