Three of Illinois’ past and present female politicians will hold a panel discussion on what inspired them to get involved with politics, the importance of women in political leadership and their visions to inspire more women to get involved and have their voices heard.

Panelists include: State Rep. Mary Beth Canty, Former Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti and State Senator Laura Murphy.

This program will take place online on Zoom. After registering, you will receive a link to the Zoom webinar at least three hours in advance of the program. If the event is full, or if you prefer, you can watch the live stream on YouTube.com/@SchaumLib.

A recording of this program will be available at YouTube.com/@SchaumLib approximately 24 hours after the program is completed.

The Civic Awareness Series is presented by the Schaumburg Library in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area.
