The League of Women Voters of the Palatine, Barrington, and Schaumburg Areas invites you to a special outing to see the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Suffs!
Suffs tells the story of the American women's suffrage movement, focusing on the activists (or "Suffs") who fought for the right to vote in the years leading up to the 19th Amendment. The show explores the political and personal struggles, generational divides, and racial tensions within the movement, highlighting the strategies and sacrifices of these women, including leaders like Alice Paul, and the ongoing fight for equality.
Seeing Suffs together is more than a day at the theater. It's an opportunity to celebrate the history that shaped our mission, reflect on the ongoing work to protect voting rights, and build community and connection within our League.
Whether you are a longtime League member or new to our chapter, we hope you’ll join us for this inspiring and energizing afternoon.
Our seats are located in the front mezzanine. If you’d like to be seated with a specific member or friend, you’ll need to register them as well. Please note that you will need to pay for all the tickets you register for and arrange reimbursement from them.
